Check Out The Main Features Of Brand
Specialized Surf Design: SmoothStar designs its surf simulators based on engineering and design principles that aim to replicate the maximum sensation of surfing on concrete waves. This includes the deck shape, concave curvature, and truck configuration.
Range of Motion: The SmoothStar surfsimulator is known for providing athletes with a wide range of motion, enabling surfers to replicate deep turns and perform maneuvers on concrete with a fluidity akin to the ocean.
Truck Technology: SmoothStar designs trucks specifically to enable the simulation of the same sensations of edge switching and curve pivoting performed by surfers on a surfboard when in the ocean. On concrete waves, this translates to smoothly and responsively turning and tilting the surfsimulator.
Variety of Models: SmoothStar offers a wide range of surfskate models to meet the needs of surfers with different profiles, skill levels, and preferences. This includes deck sizes, truck configurations, and wheel hardness.
Durability and Build Quality: SmoothStar surfsimulators are constructed with lightweight and high-quality materials to ensure durability and enhanced performance. The decks are made of Canadian Maple, and the wheels are of Urethane Mix.
Enhancement of Surfing Skills: SmoothStar’s main mission is to help surfers enhance their surfing skills by providing a realistic alternative for training outside the water. This includes improving balance, carving technique, fluidity in movements, and pressure in critical parts of maneuvers.
Comparison Between SmoothStar Versions
The SmoothStar Thruster D was designed to provide enhancements compared to the old Thruster 1 version.
The new Thruster D truck from SmoothStar ensures the same turning range and fluidity as the previous version, with the main differences being the aerodynamic design, reduction in metal mass, and increased impact resistance.
Another significant change in the SmoothStar Thruster D truck model is the shortening of the flexible support above the base to compensate for a shorter wheelbase when compared to the Thruster 1.
The Thruster D compensates for the wheelbase by 1.5″ to 2.5″ less than the Thruster 1.
This implies that by choosing the Thruster D, you can opt for a deck that is 2.5 inches shorter compared to the Thruster 1. In other words, your new SmoothStar will be more compact, agile, and responsive!
