Execution Of The Bertslide

Speed and Compression

As you approach the ramp, maintain speed and bend your knees to prepare for the maneuver.

Arm Pivot

As you gradually ascend the ramp, keep your hips low and extend your front arm slightly onto the ramp, solely to guide you towards the maneuver.

Rotation Execution

When you reach the top of the ramp, initiate a power slide and extend your back leg to allow, with light support from the front arm on the ramp, the 180-degree rotation of the surfsimulator’s tail.

Avoid using the front arm as a support for the weight of your body, as in this case, the main function of the front arm on the ramp is solely to serve as a rotation pivot to characterize the smooth bertslide similar to surfing. Without sinking the athlete!
