SurfSkate Prerequisite

Check if your equipment is a genuine surfsimulator with a flexible front truck that has elastic potential to assist in your learning and development of the BertSlide On SurfSkate maneuver.

Step 1: Speed and Compression

Approach the ramp with speed and semi-bend your knees. This will prepare you for the maneuver.

Step 2: Guide with the Arm

As you ascend the ramp, extend your front arm slightly to prepare your posture for the upcoming movements of the bertslide.

Step 3: Curve Pivot

As you approach the top of the ramp, fully lower your hips and touch the front palm on the wall, using it as a guide to assist your rotation.

Use your arm subtly only as a pivot to assist in rotation, not for support, as in analogy to real surfing, the athlete would certainly sink.
